Waxing Gibbous Moon

Tonight is the super moon. Now, it is true that Neil deGrasse Tyson has assured me that there is nothing extraordinary about this annual occurrence, but I wanted to make sure I got out there for some photos. And, naturalist that I am, I know that clouds happen. So I went out a night early to catch the waxing gibbous moon.

I'll go out again tonight, but who knows if I can get anything to beat this shot? I'll be posting later with pictures of some of the flowers I shot last night (as soon as I find out what they're called).

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Happy derby! Happy supper moon!

  1. Thank you! I am happy with it. I hope it looks as good printed (sometimes they don't).
